Q. I'm using two monitors, can I record two monitors?
A. No. We recommend you to disable extended monitor before running eNstructor. Refer to eNstructor manual if you don't know hot to disable the extended monitor.
Q. What is the best screen resolution for eNstructor?
A. eNstructor works well under any screen resolution. However, in order to produce smaller file size, set your screen to 16bit color.
Q .Do you support Windows XP?
A .WinCAM 2000 is 100% compatible with Windows 95/98/ME/2000/NT4/XP
Q. Are there any other software I should install?
A. No. However, we recommend you to update Microsoft DirectX to the latest version.
Q. What are the output formats?
A . You can export your to AVI, ASF, WMV, SWF, HTML Document and image file.
Q. What kind of file formats I can export?
A. Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Web Page and Image files. You can also capture your computer screen and use it as Work Area.
Q. When I'm importing PowerPoint file, can I import all the slides?
A. Yes, you can import multiple pages, and you can move between pages using Slide button.
Q. I'm using blackboard as my Work Area. I don't want to add more pages, but I want to make this work area bigger.
A. you can partition the Work Area by 4 or 9. Turn on the MiniMap will help you to locate which slide you're working on.
Q. What is difference between WinCAM mode and eNstructor mode recording?
A. enstructor mode: The contents you write or draw will be recorded using eNstructor's recording engine. The size of files recorded in eNstructor Mode will be small because the work areas added, the contents written or drawn, and the images are saved as data called: eNstructor meta data type.
However, the eNstructor movie files recorded in eNstructor Mode will not record interim steps (times when you are not writing or drawing). For example, the interim steps such as adding image files and going through the procedure using dialog boxes will not be recorded. This recording is recommended for most users unless you need to record interim steps and edit
WinCAM Mode: The contents and voices will be recorded as movie files. The movie files recorded in WinCAM Mode will show the entire recording procedure. Put simply, it records anything on your computer screen even if it's an error dialog. Therefore, the file size will be comparatively larger than the files recorded in eNstructor Mode. This feature is often used for recording all procedures unlike the eNstructor Mode, it is also commonly used for additional frame editing.
Q. what is Clip image panel?
A. This panel located left hand side of the screen contains graphics file which you can paste them to the screen by drag&drop. This will save you huge time since you don't have to pause the recording to browse files.
Q. My webcam window is not showing anything.
A. please make sure to install driver for your webcam first, and test it with other application comes with your webcam.
Q. I can't record my voice.
A. Please check if your microphone is working properly. Try record your voice using sound recorder. Click Start> programs > Accessories > Entertainment > Sound Recorder.
Q . Narration sound quality is so low.
A . You can have better sound quality with standing microphone than head set. Don't forget to install the latest version of DirectX for your operating system.
Q . Is there an annual license renewal fee?
A . Generally, there is no annual license fee, the WinCAM 2000 package includes a one time End User License Agreement. Please carefully read the terms and conditions of the License Agreement. The Licenses are based on per machine.
Q. Can I edit eNstructor movie files using WinCAM?
A. If you have recorded under WinCAM mode, you can open the file from WinCAM Producer to edit.

Q. Do you have eNstructor for Linux?
A. We don't have eNstructor for Linux at the moments, but we have plane to make eNstructor for Linux in near future.
