|
| |
This new interactive feature allows the user participate or follow along with the multimedia contents and actually have to click the mouse or use the keyboard to input information to continue with perhaps a training presentation or a manual. WinCAM2000 is the world’s first interactive multimedia authoring tool. |

Feature |
Effect |
Left/Right

The movie will be paused until the user Left/Right click on the certain area. |
Mouse Double
Click |
The movie will be paused until the user Double click on the certain area. |
Drag & Drop |
The Drag and Drop feature allows the participant to use the commonly used mouse control of dragging and dropping as a part of the multimedia presentation. |
Keyboard Input |
The Ctrl, Alt, Shift, ESC, and Enter keys can be used in combination with the mouse as the interactive input value. Custom Key input can also be set. |
|
| |
In order to insert an interactive object, right click on the editing window and select Insert Mouse Click Event.
You will see a Translucent Colored Rectangle with handles around it, resize it by clicking and dragging one of the handles, reposition it by and dragging the rectangle itself.
This box is only visible in the editing mode and not in playback. Since the viewer cannot see this box, we need to an indicator to let the viewer know that there is an Interactive Event here. Since we already have a line rectangle around the Beetle, let's resize the green rectangle to fit in the line rectangle. |
| |
|
| |
| Select the Interactive Event object and right click the mouse button to bring up the menu box, and choose Object Properties |
| |
 |
| |
| Now you will see the Interactive Event dialog box appear, this is where you select the options and of the type of interaction you want from the user. From the drop down box, you will see a list of input keys available, or customize your own interaction by scrolling down and selecting User Define. |
| |
 |
| |
Then a Custom Input Key dialog box will appear asking you to enter the input key, enter the value and click OK to set that key as the input key.
Click OK to continue.
During the playback mode, the movie will Pause and wait for the proper interactive input value for it to continue.
